Currently, the majority of America's electricity is generated by burning fossil fuels: fuels that are costly and harmful to our health and to our environment—and our demand for electricity is increasing every day.
Clean, sustainable wind energy can help meet our electricity needs, without burning fossil fuels, building power plants, or relying on foreign sources for our fuel. By harnessing this natural resource, the Cohocton Wind project will provide a local, renewable energy source to New York, reducing the emissions that lead to global warming and other environmental problems while also delivering a broad range of local economic benefits to the Steuben County community.
