FIRST WIND STATEMENT ON CODE OF CONDUCT AGREEMENT WITH NEW YORK ATTORNEY GENERAL
10/30/2008

Albany, N.Y.—October 30, 2008—First Wind Holdings, LLC (“First Wind”) announced today that it has voluntarily agreed with the Office of the New York State Attorney General to implement a Code of Conduct that will govern future wind farm operations in New York State. The Office of the Attorney General developed the Code of Conduct in cooperation with First Wind.

Paul Gaynor, First Wind’s President and Chief Executive Officer, commended the New York Attorney General for his foresight and dedication to the public interest. Gaynor stated, “First Wind has always held itself to high standards. We are proud to be one of the first wind farm companies to voluntarily agree to implement the Code of Conduct, and we hope that other companies will sign on to the Code as well.

“With this Code of Conduct in place, the citizens of the State of New York can take comfort not only in the continuing development of a critical renewable energy source and the economic benefits that derive from that development, but that its Attorney General has devised a Code of Conduct that reflects and demands high ethical standards,” Gaynor added.
